Mark Pienaar is an ex-banker (Cape of Good Hope Bank and Nedbank Corporate) who specialises in structuring property transactions. After leaving the bank, Mark launched Triple Play Capital, a company that facilitated primary, mezzanine and equity finance in the property space. Amongst others, he was significantly involved in structuring and financing the purchase of Melrose Arch in 2005 by Property Partners, at the time South Africa’s largest commercial property transaction. Mark has had extensive exposure to the various parts of the property sector and has significant relationships with established property players in South Africa and abroad. He has a (Hons) BEcon from the University of Stellenbosch, a Diploma (Commercial and Industrial Specialist) and is also a graduate of the Property Development Program.
