Niyaz joined Chrysalis Capital in January 2025, to spearhead the growth of our Working Capital Funding Solutions to Corporate clients, with a focus on Supply Chain Finance. This follows a 10-year journey with RMB Corporate & Investment Bank, where Niyaz held various leadership positions across RMB’s Trade & Working Capital (TWC) and Debt & Trade Solutions (DTS) businesses. During this time he provided structured funding solutions to various sectors of Corporate Clients, which included MLA (Mandated Lead Arranger) roles to large corporates, as well as initiating bespoke short-term working capital solutions to listed and unlisted clients. He was directly responsible for key client growth in the Western Cape region, whilst also leading RMB’s Supply Chain Finance business across South Africa.

His previous work experience also includes 9-years with Old Mutual Specialised Finance, where Niyaz headed up their Corporate Lending business, which covered long-term corporate funding and short-term liquidity solutions. Prior to moving across to deal-making and origination, he managed a team of Credit Analysts, focussing on Corporate Debt & Property Finance. Before joining Old Mutual Specialised Finance, Niyaz developed holistic wealth management skills at Nedbank Private wealth, generating new business by working across private client lending & investments.
